On a hot summer evening in 1996 a group of twelve Chor Leoni guys (and a few of their women friends) met in a stuffy Vancouver church to sing a recording session for Karma.
This was part of our fundraising blitz for our pending Atlantic Canada tour.
We had no idea that the end result would turn into a hot selling disc, fill the airwaves with our Gregorian melodies layered into a decidedly eclectic mix, and remain popular to this day.
In all, Chor Leoni contributed vocals for six songs on this album by Nettwerk recording artists Delerium.
Cut number 4, featuring tenor Ray Horst and pop superstar Sarah McLachlan, has topped the charts twice and continues to receive regular airplay in clubs and on the radio.
Chor Leoni also appears on Delerium's Poem, which was released in late winter 2000.

Circle of Compassion is a tour de force of male choral singing. Achingly beautiful, its controlled power will entrance and move you. This disc received the 2008 National Choral Award for Outstanding Choral Recording given by the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors. It is Chor Leoni at its finest and we offer it as compassion and consolation to all those who have suffered loss.
