In partnership with the Vancouver Foundation and with a pledge of matching money from the British Columbia Arts Renaissance Fund, Chor Leoni Men's Choir will launch a major endowment fund drive in the fall of 2006.
Our goal is to build up an endowment fund of $500,000 by December 2008.
The choir's Board of Directors has decided that a substantial endowment fund will go far to ensure that the era of Diane Loomer's leadership leaves as its legacy a world-class male choir, engendering appreciation and support of men's choirs in Vancouver and throughout Canada. To this end, the fund will, among other goals, seek to support a chair for the choir's Artistic Director and develop programs aimed specifically at mentoring young male singers here and elsewhere. In addition, the income from the fund will facilitate the commissioning of new works for male choirs. The income from the fund also will be available as necessary to assist the operations of the Choir, although presently this is not considered to be a priority.

Circle of Compassion is a tour de force of male choral singing. Achingly beautiful, its controlled power will entrance and move you. This disc received the 2008 National Choral Award for Outstanding Choral Recording given by the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors. It is Chor Leoni at its finest and we offer it as compassion and consolation to all those who have suffered loss.
