Chor Leoni Launches Improved Website
Vancouver's Chor Leoni Men"s Choir is pleased to announce the launch of their newly reconstructed website,
www.chorleoni.org.
This project was made possible by a grant from the Vancouver
Foundation’s B.C. Arts Renaissance Advisory Committee and is designed
to enhance the choir’s outreach and fundraising abilities.
"Chor
Leoni is an exciting and dynamic choir,” explains Diane Loomer, the
choir’s artistic director. “We wanted our presence on the web to be in
tune with that richness. Our new site’s architecture allows changes 'on
the fly’ so that if something exciting happens our audience will know
about it quickly. It also allows our friends to support the choir by
making an
on-line donation easily and safely.”
Designed by the web gurus of Vancouver-based
Raised Eyebrow Web Studio and utilizing a content management system developed by
Pencilneck Software
(also a Vancouver company), the new Chor Leoni website offers new
opportunities for the choir. Along with the expected photos, sound
samples, and video clips of a modern website, Chor Leoni’s new site has
e-commerce built in so visitors can purchase CDs and season tickets
conveniently. In addition the site offers a degree of interaction
previously unavailable. “Audience members can write reviews of
performances and recordings,” Diane continues. “We are looking forward
to seeing it in action!”
The site will also feature resources
for the media. “Now members of media will have access to high
resolution photos and other materials available for download whenever
they wish,” stated Bruce Hoffman, the choir’s communications officer.
“This should prove particularly helpful in touring situations - and in
those cases where reviewers burning the midnight oil need the choir’s
biography or the latest press photo! It’s all there in the
Media Room on the site.”
Chor
Leoni is Canada’s preeminent male choir. A rich full-bodied sound,
innovative programming, technical precision, meticulous intonation, and
versatility coupled with an ever-present musical curiosity and
commitment to the creation of new Canadian choral works are qualities
that have catapulted Chor Leoni to national and international fame
since its founding by Diane Loomer, C.M., in 1992. Visit their new
website at
