Do you sing in the shower? How about the sauna?
I grew up in Vancouver, where we seldom get sticky-hot, humid
summer days that drain you energy. Oh, we whine about weather, but
really, it's RARELY extremely hot (or cold) in Vancouver. Not so
Quebec! 26 C in Vancouver is NOT the same as 26 C in Montreal or Lachute. In Vancouver, at 26 you're just thinking about rolling up your
sleeves. In Montreal, you're thinking about wringing them out.
But the warmth of our recption has far outweighed the singing
conditions. We sang to a packed house Sunday night in Lachute and
though it was hot and humid, no one was heading for the exits. Our
lasting memory won't be the temperature or the humidity; it will be the
energy and affection of our audience. Something amazing happened there:
forty or so men chose to focus all their attention on pleasing the
audience (and our director!), and the audience responded. It was a time
that some would describe as 'magic,' others as mystical. For a moment,
it didn't matter if it was 30 C above or 10 C below, 100% humidity or
dry enough to spark off a carpet. For a moment, it was all about the
music: we knew it, our director knew it, and the audience knew it.
Will we remember how sticky we were that night? Sure. But we will
never forget what really happened: through music we connected, and
touched lives.

Hello!
Just got home from your concert in Ottawa at St. Matthew's Church. Don't know if you remember me, but I am the very enthusiastic guy in the second row who requested "Song for the Mira". After the concert, one of your members gave me the job to write a feedback on the concert. So here I am.
What can I say? *Wow*... What an amazing evening. I was moved, entertained, touched.
There were many many wonderful moments and I'm still in awe especially for the piece "Immortal Bach". Spectacular.
I am an enthusiastic singer in an Ottawa community choir. We resume rehearsals in about 3 weeks and this evening you gave me a lot of renewed energy for our concert season to come. I can't wait to go back to choir practice... Thank you so much.
Best congratulations to you all. I hope I'll have the privilege to see you perform live again soon.
With best regards,
