To Quebec City Aug 13

The trip from Montreal to Quebec City was a marvelous one, for a number of reasons.  We were able to take in some wonderful sights, most notable being a large waterfall which cascaded down the side of a rather large cliff.  We were able to take some time to walkabout and get some good snaps of the waterfall from a staircase which had been erected beside it.  However, for a number of the people on the bus, a major highlight was the fact that this bus trip allowed them (myself included) some extra nap-time to recuperate from the activities that the Montreal night-life extended to us the previous evening, as well as to partake in a near-mandatory game of euchre (a game quickly growing in popularity amongst the youngest of us lions).  After we had arrived in our hotel, we were able to use the rest of the day to explore the city.  It would seem that many of us opted to revel in the sights of the oldest part of the oldest city in North America, that being Old Quebec.  Here is a place in which culture has run amuck.  Ripe with murals, street performers, old builidings, legends, creperies, old buildings, cannons, sugar pie, maple anything, and old buildings, it would seem that one day of exploration would only allow us to catch a thin glimpse of life here.  The food here has been quite good, and if you find the right hole in the wall you will be able to find some very impressive Quebecois performers.  It really is a shame that out west we are so cut-off from the culture of Quebec.  The closest we get is being able to read our cereal boxes in both French and English . . .

Another day, another crepe breakfast.  Au revoir, from Quebec.
