I woke up nice and late today. Bruce, Anton and I all got breakfast at
Tim Hortons. It was that moment when I realized that the Portuguese
National Rugby team was sharing the same hotel as us and was also
having breakfast at Tim Hortons. That was exciting for me because I
love rugby. After breakfast the choir piled into the bus and set off
for the Canadian Museum of Civilization where we held a mini concert on
a very large stage in front of a bunch of Totem Poles. Our mini
concert was well attended and was lots of fun. We had two rows of
seats that were filled and lots of people standing behind them. It was
a perfect opportunity to tell everyone about our evening concert and so
we did. After our mini concert I went with Phil and Rod to the War
Museum. It was very moving and quite interesting. They had a special
exhibit on the war in Afghanistan and they had a huge room below the
museum with all sorts of tanks and army vehicles as well as a VooDoo
fighter. After running through the museum (because we didn't have much
time) we got back to the hotel and jumped on the bus which took us to
St. Matthew's Anglican Church which was to be our big concert in our
nations capital. The concert was amazing, if I do say so myself. It
was an incredible church to sing in, and the house was full! It was a
very cool experience because all our pieces seemed to fit together
really well, and all the small groups were excellent. The audience
loved it so much that we were called up for 2 encores and I'm really
glad they enjoyed it because I love singing with Chor Leoni. It was a
wonderful concert and I enjoyed bringing music to Eastern Canada. I
hope to come again. :D

Comments:
Hello to you all, we happened to be at St. Matthew's Anglican Church on 8/17 in the afternoon when the chor was practicing for the night's performance. Your practice and the concert in the evening were beautiful, moving and fun.
Thank you, Christiane
