Meet Carols & Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest

When our first pressing of Magnificat ran out we took the opportunity to rename, repackage, and reissue the disc on our own Cypress Choral Recordings label. Carols & Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest features the warm grouping of Hispanic carols that we featured in our 2006 Yuletide Fires concert, as well as the brilliant Laude per la Natività del Signore by Ottorino Respighi and the premiere recording of Rupert Lang's Magnificat.

Joining Chor Leoni on this recording are Mariateresa Magisano (mezzo-soprano), Lambroula Maria Pappas (soprano) and Elektra Women's Choir.

When ChristmasReviews.com covered Magnificat they said:

"Having just completed my review of Chor Leoni's other seasonal offering (Yuletide Fires, also on ChristmasReviews.com), I approached this CD with the greatest anticipation. Carols & Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest does not disappoint. Chor Leoni is a magnificent a cappella men's ensemble, headed by director Diane Loomer, a true magic maker. The musicianship is first class, and the music is captivating on this classical album."
Now this CD is available again - repackaged, renamed, reissued - and still wonderful! Visit our CD section to read more about it or to order your copy. There are also selections posted for listening in our Listening Booth.
