“There is something very inspirational – a basic goodness – when men sing together.”Diane Loomer founded Chor Leoni to carry on the esteemed tradition of men’s choral singing and create adventurous new musical experiences for singers and audiences to share.
Diane Loomer, C.M., Artistic Director
Through Diane’s remarkable creative vision, dedication and ceaseless energy, Chor Leoni has become one of the world’s very best men’s choirs, recording nine CDs, winning competitions, and performing to local and international acclaim. We are men from many backgrounds, ranging from the late teens to the early seventies. What we share is a passion for singing together and sharing our sound and joy with ever-widening audiences.
You can play a crucial part. Help build a solid foundation to support music excellence.
In these turbulent times, it’s good to know Chor Leoni’s Endowment is in the safe hands of the Vancouver Foundation where our rate of return is guaranteed each year.
Since we launched our Endowment in the fall of 2004, thanks to you, we have raised an incredible $375,000. Annual interest generated will help provide an enduring base of financial support for the choir for years to come.
While helping us create a vibrant male choral community here at home, this fund better enables us to fulfil our mission of “stimulating male choral singing throughout the world.” Already it supports initiatives like our PROMYS program [PROgram for Mentoring Young Singers] – bringing young men into the Chor Leoni world where they can hone their talent and inspire audiences with their youthful energy.

Since its inception, Chor Leoni’s Endowment Fund has benefited from Canadian Heritage and the BC Arts Renaissance Fund matching funds. The same is true now, but we have to act fast. This is an incredible opportunity to leverage each and every donation. Help us maximize our potential.
We urge you to contribute to Chor Leoni Men’s Choir Endowment before December 1st, 2008.
Our goal is to build our Endowment to $500,000 by the end of the year. And with your help and matching dollars, we can do it. Each and every contribution makes a huge difference. Forever.
“It has been nothing less than life changing. This experience has cemented in my heart and mind why I chose music as my life's path. It’s another example of how life-changing and universal music is. I very much want to audition and hopefully join this choir….”Keith – a former PROMYS singer who is now in Chor Leoni
