Chor Leoni Men's Choir Diane Loomer, C.M., Artistic Director

Dear Chor Leoni fans,

This is the first time in 50 years when there have been this many Canadian soldiers killed in the year  that ends Nov. 11. CBC proposes a Vancouver conversation about just what Canadian troops are doing in Afghanistan and how Vancouverites feel about that. This is a true Remembrance Day program that both honours the war dead and looks ahead to what will happen next. Shot and recorded in Vancouver's big Studio 41 with a live audience, the main participants in the program have  one thing in common: they have all been to Afghanistan...they are either soldiers, medics, aid workers or Afghanis now living in Vancouver.  The program will be opened and closed by the award-winning Chor Leoni Men's Choir, and the studio will be filled with projections of photographs taken in Afghanistan by Vancouver cameraman Jim Hoffman.
