Chor Leoni debuted its exciting educational outreach program called PROMYS - PROgram for Mentoring Young Singers in 2005.

Each year since then Chor Leoni Men’s Choir accepts up to a dozen of the best young men choral singers from high school to rehearse with them and peform as part of the choir’s Remembrance Day concert.

The ideal PROMYS student will be:

• one of the top choral students in his school choir
• have at least two years choral experience
• Possesses strong musical skills
• has an in-tune voice
• has an ability and willingness to learn his part on his own or with his teacher
• loves choral singing

If that sounds like you, please discuss it with your high school choir teacher and make your application by the end of September. Preference will be given to singers in Grades 11 and 12. Twelve singers will be chosen from those applying.

If you have young men in your choirs who you think would be interested and benefit from participating in the PROMYS programme, please email PROMYS [at] chorleoni.org. Register online here.
