Recorded in Vancouver, BC
In 1998 Chor Leoni gained the reputation of "the choir that sings in French." Our insistence on performing the bilingual version of "O Canada" at a Vancouver Canucks hockey game against the wishes of the team's owners, led to an appearance for Chor Leoni on national TV. Invitations followed: to sing for the Alliance Française at the Festival Francophonie, for the French Consulate General for Bastille Day, and for the Bordeaux wine merchants fall wine festival. Of course the controversy also inspired us to perform an entire spring concert in French, which was recorded live and made available as L'Hymne au Printemps.
A limited independent pressing, this disc has sold out and is no longer available.
