Blog: Choral & Current

Meet the CL Blogging Team

Welcome to the re-launch of our blog, Chor Leoni, Choral & Current. It is our hope that this blog will become a regular part of your week as our cadre of writers post news of Chor Leoni, the choral world, and other interesting 'arts bits.' Our octet of writers spans the entire range of Chor Leoni, from bass to first tenor, and from newer to founding members. We are:

  • Russell Cripps - One of our baritones, Russell has been known to also sing bass AND second tenor - and always with a smile.
  • Spencer Cripps - Our baritone section leader, Spencer is an extremely talented dancer and choreographer whose constant patience has taken our dancing during our summer shows to new heights.
  • Rob Easton - Rob has many talents. He's a talented television personality, videographer and first tenor - but as far as CL audiences go, he's probably best known for his amazing portrayal of Miss Piggy this past June!
  • Bruce Hoffman - Bruce has probably known Diane longer than anyone else in the choir (except Mr. Loomer!) He sings second tenor.
  • Dick Loomer - Past-president of Chor Leoni, respected teacher and orthopaedic surgeon, Dick has been one of our basses since Mrs. Loomer formed the choir back in '92.
  • Mark MacDonald - Our first tenor section leader, Mark is a long-term member of Chor Leoni.
  • Les Nerling - Music teacher and arranger, Les is also a member of CL's baritone section.
  • Keith Sinclair - Keith is a talented jazz guitarist and is studying jazz at Capilano University in North Vancouver. He sings second tenor.
