What's a PROMYS workshop?
PROgram for Mentoring Young Singers was created in 2005 to bring young men of high school age together with Chor Leoni to rehearse and perform selected repertoire.
Workshop attendees will rehearse and sing with Chor Leoni, then perform as part of a free mini-concert for friends and family at the end of the day.
1:00-1:30 pm Registration *we ask that you arrive closer to 1 pm to speed registration*
1:30-4:30 pm – Workshop
4:30-5:30 – Mini rehearsal and concert
What's this about a "mini-concert," and can I invite my friends?
The final hour of the workshop features PROMYS singers performing with Chor Leoni the repertoire we've worked together - and you're most welcome to invite your parents and friends to come and enjoy.
Don't concerts usually, um, cost, something?
This concert - like the workshop - is completely FREE. Please text all your friends and help us pack the house. They'll hear you sing with the lions, then Chor Leoni will preview the music they're performing at the upcoming 50th National Convention of the American Choral Directors Association in Oklahoma City.
Sounds like fun - how do I sign up?
Download the application here, complete it, and mail or fax it in to the Chor Leoni office (the address on the form). If you've got any questions, please contact diane@chorleoni.org or call 604.999.6153.
