Under Diane Loomer's direction, Chor Leoni has a polish, a sound, a spontaneity and a style that I feel is unequalled by any male voice choir that I have ever heard - and that includes the best on offer at the Eistedfodd in Wales. Choir Profile

Our latest official choir biography, it offers a written snapshot of the choir and its accomplishments as well as a spiffy photo of the group. Downloadable versions are available in our Media Room.

Artistic Director

Erick Lichte was appointed Chor Leoni's Artistic Director in January 2013. In the last ten years, he has carved out a distinct niche in the vocal music world and concert life in North America. The Washington Post has hailed the “audacity” of his programming, the Chicago Tribune has noted the “meticulous preparation” of his choirs and Fanfare Magazine (writing of his work with Cantus Vocal Ensemble), declared that he created and helmed “the premier men's vocal ensemble in the United States.” We are delighted to welcome him as our Artistic Director!

Founder

Diane Loomer, C.M., has many credits to her name. She was a member of the Order of Canada and a YWCA Vancouver Woman of Distinction in Arts and Culture. In 1992 she formed Chor Leoni and the rest is history! You can read her official biography here, and her official memorial page on iLasting.com is here.

PROMYS

PROgram for Mentoring Young Singers is Chor Leoni’s educational outreach plan that invites young, talented male singers of high school age to join with the choir in rehearsals and to sing part of a concert. All the details are here.
