Donors to the Chor Leoni Men's Choir play a vital role in everything we do – enriching our programs, creating new choral works and helping to educate and encourage new singers.
Bringing high quality music to you, our audience, takes considerable financial resources. Chor Leoni funds its activities through ticket and CD sales, touring, government and foundation grants, corporate sponsorships and individual donors – like you.
Your gift recognizes the importance of choral music in all our lives and in the life of our communities. We thank you for your generous support.
Your undesignated gift allows Chor Leoni to direct funds where they will have the greatest impact. This helps meet the choir’s most urgent needs.
By giving to the Chor Leoni endowment,
you will ensure that audiences hear the lions roar for generations to
come. As the year unfolds, we'll be announcing new opportunities for your contributions to be matched four-fold or six-fold. Stayed tuned!
The lions encourage young men to make choral singing part of their adult lives. PROMYS (PROgram for Mentoring Young Singers) invites high school-aged young men to join Chor Leoni in rehearsal and concert. Other outreach activities such as touring and recording allow us to share choral music outside the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
For a donation of $250 or more you can join our commissioning consortium and contribute to the creation of new works not only for Chor Leoni but also for the future musical library of men's choirs all over the world. These donations help Canadian composers to create a living legacy of choral music for men's voices. If you are interested in commissioning a particular composer to write a new piece to be premiered and sung by Chor Leoni, we would be happy to discuss this with you.

Chor Leoni's donation/sponsorship structure is based on the stars of the
constellation Leo and Little Leo. These are our stars whose contributions help
Chor Leoni shine. Click on a donation level for details and donor benefits. (Benefits are available for one year dating from receipt of donation.)
Rasalas is the northern star of the lion’s head.
Denebola is the second brightest star in the constellation Leo. Its name means "tail of the lion."
Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo and one of the brightest stars in the nighttime sky. It is also known as Al Qalb Al Asad in Arabic, meaning "the heart of the lion." This phrase is sometimes translated into Latin as Cor Leonis!
