Dear friends of Chor Leoni,
What a month! Chor Leoni sang for CBC's the Early Edition to celebrate their move into their very spiffy new studio (you can see pictures of the event here), and have given three of our four No Strings Attached performances, with the final performance this Monday! In this issue you'll find

1. Always wanted to be a reviewer? Here's your chance!Ever wonder what it takes to write a review, or wanted to share your thoughts about a performance with a wider audience than just around the water cooler? Here's your chance! We're calling for audience-members who attended No Strings Attached to take the plunge into print by writing a review - and we've made it easy to so. Follow this link to the CL website and start writing. You'll find other reviews of No Strings Attached here. We look forward to hearing from you!

2. CBC to broadcast Meetin' Here Tonight on Choral Concert June 28Tune in to Choral Concert on CBC Radio 2 this Sunday (June 28) to hear a broadcast of our "standing room only" Meetin' Here Tonight concert recorded in March. This concert of favourite hymn tunes and spirituals was a crowd favourite, so tune and enjoy. This is the last weekend that Choral Concert runs from 8 - 10 am: beginning July 5, Choral Concert shifts one hour later to start at 9 AM, still running for two hours.

3. Chor Leoni 2009/2010 Season Tickets available now
We are pleased to announce our exciting new season, which includes local performances in Vancouver, Squamish, West Vancouver, and Surrey.
The season kicks off with the popular At Home with Chor Leoni fundraiser evening hosted by the choir members themselves (September 24/09), which features a delicious stand up dinner, celebrity emcees and guests, performances by the choir, and an auction of selected ‘must have’ items. (Visit our flickr gallery to see photos from last year's glittering soirée.)
The arrival of November brings with it Chor Leoni’s 17th annual Remembrance Day concerts, with performances in South Surrey, West Vancouver and Vancouver. This year’s concert, Stolen Voices, focuses on war as seen through the eyes of children, and features premieres of works by Jocelyn Morlock, Larry Nickel, Marcus Goddard, and Ken Cormier.
The choir’s holiday offering, Yuletide Fires, features a West Coast-inspired programme of seasonal beauty, with ancient Haida chant alongside newly composed carols and arrangements by BC composers Jonathan Quick, Stephen Smith, Larry Nickel and Don Macdonald.
In April 2010 Chor Leoni and the renowned Elektra Women’s Choir combine to sing the musical richness of Canada in Canadian Voices. Each choir’s solo set will include premieres of new Canadian compositions, and in a first for the two choirs, the programme will include the premiere of Kristopher Fulton’s Orpheus, a co-commissioned work for mixed choir.
June 2010 finds Chor Leoni back in the Bard on the Beach tent for four performances of Chor Leoni Country, our irreverent (and off the wall) take on all things ‘Country.’ Expect ballads and barn dances, lariats and line dances, big hats – and big hair.
We invite you to explore the concert listings found here, round up your friends, and place your order for your Season Ticket Package.
