Gorgeous! From the Opening to the Closing.
GORGEOUS! From the opening notes to the concluding phrase, this concert was Chor Leoni's best yet. The basses rumbled the floor during the Russian piece, the tenors soared during "Choose Something Like a Star" and everything in between was so finely tuned. A truly wonderful tribute of Remembrance. I have listened to "Christmas in the Trenches" on your CD and it is an incredibly emotional piece - I wasn't prepared for the tears it drew when seeing and hearing it performed live by Christopher Gaze. Finally, listening to the roll call of 71 names at the conclusion of the concert was incredibly moving. There are far too many names on that list. You helped remind me that war isn't historical - it is still happening today and we must be ever diligent in supporting our forces. Congratulations on such an amazing performance!

Circle of Compassion is a tour de force of male choral singing. Achingly beautiful, its controlled power will entrance and move you. This disc received the 2008 National Choral Award for Outstanding Choral Recording given by the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors. It is Chor Leoni at its finest and we offer it as compassion and consolation to all those who have suffered loss.
